Disability Support for Mundus MAPP Students
The Consortium offers disability support to Mundus MAPP students who face barriers associated with a disability (e.g. long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments). Our partners’ locations are accessible via public transportation for individuals with a disability. Educational facilities of the consortium ensure accessibility of entrances, doors, and elevators and digital programs for disabled individuals. Accommodation for persons with a disability is accessible at all partners. Partner institutions offer personalized support on a case-by-case basis. Reasonable accommodations are made in classes/courses to support the learning of students with disability Examinations for students facing barriers related to a disability are arranged according to their needs. This includes tailored accommodation, such as extensions for submitting assignments and extra time on exams to ensure a more accessible testing environment, and supportive measures to ensure a fair and inclusive examination experience. Our commitment to inclusivity extends to every aspect of the examination process, fostering an environment where all students, regardless of their abilities, can demonstrate their knowledge and skills to the best of their abilities. Academic mentors are available across all institutions, and peer mentoring is available at CEU and ISS. Overall, the institutions share commonalities in providing support but vary in specific practices. The comparison highlights the need for continuous evaluation and improvement in addressing the diverse needs of students with disabilities in the program.
