European Commission's Erasmus Mundus scholarships


The European Commission supports academics contributing to Mundus MAPP by special scholarships under Action 2 of the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Each scholarship consists of a fixed amount of €1,000 and a monthly stipend of €4,000 for a period of up to three months. The Consortium can select, and forward to the European Commission for approval, four scholars each year.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available to academics who are:
- Selected by the Mundus MAPP Consortium based on their outstanding academic and/or professional experience through the selection process described below;
- Are citizens of any country except the 27 EU member states, EEA/EFTA countries (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein), or the EU candidate countries (Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey);
- Are not legal residents of any of the countries listed above;
- In the last five years have not spent more than 12 months for their main activity (work, study, etc.) in any of the countries listed above.
