European Commission's Erasmus Mundus scholarships
The European Commission supports academics contributing to Mundus MAPP by
special scholarships under the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Each scholarship
consists of a € 1200 / week stipend for a maximum duration of up to three
months. The Consortium selects, and forwards to the European Commission for
approval, three or four scholars each year (assuming 3-month-long grant periods).
Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available to academics who are:
- Selected by the Mundus MAPP Consortium based on their outstanding
academic and/or professional experience through the selection process described
below;
- Are employed by an institution of higher education in any
country except:
. Member States of the European Union,
. EEA-EFTA States (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein),
. Turkey,
. The Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo,
the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia),
. Switzerland.
Please note that, unlike in previous years, the citizenship
of the candidate is not relevant for eligibility whereas employment by a third
country university is.
